Akahi Ricardo and Camila Castello are proud to say they are breatharians. This means they are able to live off the universe’s energy and do not depend on food and water. The married couple started this lifestyle in 2008. They claim that they were able to survive by just living off the universe’s energy and a piece of fruit and some vegetable broth for three times a week.
Since their lifestyle changed, they claim their health also improved. Plus, they were able to save money on food and spend it on travelling instead.
“Humans can easily be without food – as long as they are connected to the energy that exists in all things and through breathing,” says Camila.
Camila also shared how she worked out a breatharian pregnancy.
“With my first child, I practised a breatharian pregnancy. Hunger was a foreign sensation to me so I fully lived on light and ate nothing. My blood tests during all three trimesters were impeccable and I gave birth to a healthy baby boy.”
After three years of not anything at all, Akahi and Camila are now eating very sporadically. Sometimes, they eat a few vegetables, juice, or a bite of an apple about three or four times per week. The couple also take a glass of water too.
Akahi is more interested on the money-saving side of being a breatharian. He said: “Obviously, our living costs are a lot less than most families and that has allowed us to spend our money on things that really matter like travelling and exploring together.”
The couple started the 21 Day Breatharian Process as a stepping stone for changing their lifestyle.
